A Day Of Feasting And Shopping
Nan Yen and I met up at J8 after work yesterday. We had already been planning to meet for dinner since 2 weeks ago but time and circumstances just didn't permit us to do so. Thus, when yesterday finally came, we were thrilled!
We went to take a look at some clothing first (as per normal for ladies). After a while, we decided we'll eat first and shop later cos our stomachs were growling hee... and off we went to Pasta Mania! Nan Yen had that in mind and so did I haha... great minds think alike hor? Guess this is what happens when a counsellor and social worker come together haha... Oh, in case some of us may not know, Nan Yen is a counsellor who works with elderly people. :) Anyone who needs a listening ear (regardless of age) can consider going to her. She's a great listener! :)
I got my 6th chop on my Pasta Mania Rewards Card and so was entitled to a free dessert! Opted for the Chocolate Mousse which was really yummy!
After dinner, Nan Yen wanted to go to Double Index cos she had a $5 voucher to spend. And so we went, and for quite a while, she was trying on top after top but just couldn't seem to find any suitable one that was to her liking. She was a little disappointed and kind of reluctant to leave the shop because the voucher would be expiring in a few days' time. Anyway, we went next door to Dano to look around and to my sweet surprise, Nan Yen pointed out to me a rather simple and nice top. Was trying on something like that earlier before dinner but wasn't sure if I should buy. Decided to get this one instead cos the material is better and it costs exactly the same as the former after discount. Thank God!! :)
And well, Nan Yen did get a top from Double Index in the end after all! We returned to the shop right after I paid for mine and it was moments before the salesgirl kindly helped to select a cap-sleeve top for her to try on. Could see the joy on Nan Yen's face after she managed to use up the $5 voucher. Both of us were happy cos each of us went home with something.
After all our shopping, we got a drink from NTUC and found a place to sit down and talk. Before going home, we ended off the day with picture-taking! :)
