Interview at MCYS

I'm back from my interview at MCYS! I was telling Sis Klessis through sms that the interview was pretty fast and straightforward. Took less than 10 minutes or so per candidate. 3 of my other classmates were also there for the same interview. And I was the first candidate to go.

I had actually applied for 4 positions at MCYS and they shortlisted me for 'Rehabilitation Officer', which requires me to work with juvenile offenders and their parents. There were 4 interviewers in all. They asked me why I chose to apply to their organisation, asked me if I would be comfortable in having to handle some 'aggressive' parents, and told me about their working hours, and asked when I could start work. I will be hearing from them in about 3-4 weeks' time, so praying that it will be good news.

When I awoke this morning, I actually felt very tensed. I set my alarm to go off at 6.50am and my dad helped wake me up. I felt very dreamy, and even forgot I was going to have an interview. I quickly prayed for the Holy Spirit to come and fill me and committed the whole interview into God's hands. Then, when I was on the bus about to reach the venue, I alighted at the wrong stop! I was like, oh no, how could I be so blur?! I actually forgot which stop I should be alighting at even though I was there just on Monday. But thank God it was just one bus stop before the correct one, and thank God it wasn't raining. So by the time I reached the venue, I was still early by 15 minutes. After the interview, the skies started getting gloomy. But thank God again for I didn't get caught in the rain because the rain started pouring only after I reached home. :)

Going to meet Nan Yen later for lunch at Novena Square since we didn't manage to meet up yesterday. After that, will be at Indoor Stadium this evening for ushers' support duty. :)
