Sabie's 3rd Day Of Work

I've just returned home from work moments ago! And I'm zonked!! Okie, it isn't really work in that sense, cos me and 2 other colleagues accompanied a group of secondary school youths to Beach Road tonight to watch Quidam!! :) I have to work 9am-9pm on alternate Wednesdays, and I start from next Wed, but this evening, I was given an opportunity to go along and also get some exposure. The amount of time spent there is counted towards fulfilment of my working hours in the week, so I can claim time off on another day.

For those of us who may not know, Quidam is a performance brought on by renowned acrobatic circus - Cirque du Soleil. It premieres here tomorrow, and the one I watched tonight was their dress rehearsal. It's really fantastic, and I was so impressed with it! According to what I found on the web, Quidam is Latin for "an anonymous passerby, a solitary figure lost in the crowd", and the entire performance is "a fusion of acrobatic artistry, technical expertise, extravagant design and exceptional musical inspiration" . The tickets to the show are very, very expensive, so it's a real privilege to be able to view the rehearsal. :)

Today is my 3rd day of work! Ya, I didn't write anything regarding my 2nd day of work, because I really had no time to blog about that yesterday, and I was too tired. But work is piling up! I am not given any cases to handle yet, but my supervisor has given me 2 case files and asked me to do a case closure for each of them. He also showed me a case which he received last month, and asked me to do a write-up on how I would be going about to assess the case in the first session. Apart from these, he has planned for me a very detailed orientation work schedule for the next 3 weeks, where I will understudy 3 cases that my colleagues are handling, take information and referral (IR) phone calls and walk-in clients, and sit in at additional counselling sessions to observe how my colleagues carry out their work. The main thing I will be involved in would be active case supervision on a weekly basis, so that I can improve on areas which I am lacking in skill/expertise. I can be easily stressed by all these... so must keep on praying for supernatural strength and wisdom from God.

I've just taken my dinner because I had only a curry puff at 5pm before going for the show which started at 730pm. 12.26am already... I wanna sleep!!!
