SABIE'S WEEK

Recently I find myself to be a little 'slow' in updating my blog. Take for instance this past week. Ever since the entry on the '7th Day of Chinese New Year', it took me 5 days before I did any further update on Thursday night where I just posted all the photos of the last few days' events that I had actually been dying to put up as soon as I had them. I seldom do such a 'disappearance act' so Meiling said (jokingly) that I've backslided!

Haa... Actually it's because I've been more preoccupied than usual with work this week. Had a challenging week I would say. With the festive season coming to an end, everyone in office is back to serious stuff. Plus, I've been looking over things related to my appraisal as well. Oh, for those of you who do not know, my appraisal is just a few weeks away in March! It's going to be an appraisal for my confirmation as staff in my workplace. Time flies so fast right? I've been working for almost close to 6 months! My supervisor is the one who will be appraising me, and he had already met up with me on Wednesday this week to have a brief run-through of the areas of my work performance which he is going to evaluate.

I was actually quite nervous and stressed over the Wednesday meeting and had irregular hours of sleep through the week in relation to that. On Monday morning, I didn't even feel like going to office. Then, 15 minutes before the meeting on Wed, Sis Kless called me and prayed for me over the phone (Thanks so much Sis Kless, I truly felt much more at ease after that). Some of the sisters like Meiling, Alicia and Shimin also messaged/MSN me to encourage me, and all that really meant a lot to me. And God is good, His favour was upon me and I thank Him for the favour of man too. For right from the start of the meeting, I was told that I will be confirmed :) Praise the Lord! That was a great relief to me, but I know I can't be complacent after that either. It just means I have to take greater responsibility for my own learning in the months to come.
