HAPPENINGS...

Centre will be closed tomorrow! All staff no need to come to work! BUT, all staff will be involved in a 2-day conference at ACS Barker Road Campus which starts tomorrow. Entitled "A Christian's Response to Addiction", it is jointly organised by Methodist Welfare Services (MWS, our HQ) and the General Conference Women's Society of Christian Service to help Christians understand the various types of addictions that affect Christian and non-Christians and how to address addiction in their churches and communities.

Staff of Daybreak is taking on different roles in this conference. Choi Foong is part of the Committee while Fiona is the emcee. Our two new staff, Ephraim and Regina who just came in this Monday, will be participants of the conference together wth Lucy over the next 2 days. As for Auntie Grace, Li Ching, Laura and me, we need only be there tomorrow, to man our FSC booth, display our brochures and banners and respond to any queries concerning the respective programs that we run. And we'll be wearing the WOW! polo tees to the conference!

Good thing is that those manning the booths start at 9am and can go off after 2pm hee... so I can go home early and have a good rest before cell group begins tomorrow night.

Just found out that Regina is from City Harvest too! She's now sitting where Audrey used to sit. And Ephraim, our new social worker who just graduated from NUS, is a cell group leader in Brighton Community Church and he sits opposite me (where Hazel used to be). Office is more 热闹 with the 2 of them now.

This Saturday, Lucy and I will bring the kids out again for our last session of WOW!. Bringing them to see 'Cars' at Suntec, Eng Wah! McDonald's lunch will be sponsored and provided for each child (and for ourselves too). Even the movie tics are sponsored! Many thanks to Charles, our contact from the Volunteer Resource Network, who managed to get so many lobang for the kids. :)

Last but not least, this Saturday is also my mother's birthday!! After the show tomorrow, will be having buffet dinner again with my family in the evening.

Taking 1-hour time off today, to go Bedok later. Will leave after munching on some bee tai mak brought over from SCC staff.
