STEAMBOAT BUFFET
Last night I had steamboat buffet with my section ushers! 17 of us went to Chuan Yi Pin Restaurant behind Bugis Junction and paid $15++ each. It was my first time there and I really enjoyed myself. The restaurant may not have that wide variety of food as those in Marina South but it offers several kinds of soup/stock that we can choose from.
At the table I sat at, we chose a combination of herbal chicken stock and hot, spicy tom yam soup!

I didn't take that many pics cos others had their digital cameras with them. We ate and ate to our hearts' content and were so full! But still, all of us went to Swensens after that haha... half of us sat there just to drink their plain water but the other half still had room for Regular Earthquake! Can't imagine... I was among those who drank plain water cos I know that if I were to gobble down a few more spoonfuls of ice-cream, indigestion will be right there waiting for me.
From this outing, I was glad that I got to know 1 or 2 of my team ushers better, and also got to know ushers from other teams. I do hope we have more of such outings on a more regular basis, cos that's really one of those times that we can gel with one another apart from serving during service.
