HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

Today marks my first year anniversary in Daybreak as a social worker!

How fast time flies! One year ago on this day, I came to work in a light green three-quarter sleeve shirt and pants. (Ouch!!! Regina just came over and gave me 3 hard smacks on my upper arm!!!… No worries, she’s just playing with me… Did that on purpose when she read on MSN that it’s my first year anniv haha)

Ok, back to the point about my attire… was just going to say that my attire is now a little less formal. I no longer wear collared shirts to work. Instead, I wear mostly V-neck ladies’ top everyday and rotate my jackets around on a weekly basis.

Since Day 1 until now, Daybreak has undergone several changes. For those who have been following through with its happenings on my blog, don’t think I need to repeat or say more.

But I am thankful to God that I have met nice people here and that they have become my friends. Politics, conflicts and differences are some things that one cannot avoid in the world of work or anywhere we go. I have witnessed differences that arose among some of my colleagues. Some are pretty confrontational and vocal about their dissatisfactions whereas some choose to avoid unpleasant situations as much as they can. For me, by God’s grace, it’s fortunate that I’ve never gotten myself embroiled in such conflicts. And even when there was the slightest indication of such a conflict erupting, things didn’t get that drama. I guess I am the non-confrontational type and tend to be a peacemaker. And it’s probably due to the fact that one of the meanings of my name ‘Sabrina’ is ‘Peaceful Woman’.

Happy one year anniversary to myself!! :)
