My Sunday

I spent my entire day at home today. As usual, my parents go to church in the morning, so that leaves me home alone for the earlier part of the day.

Breakfast was a bowl of salad with potato cubes, cherry tomatoes and quail eggs. I was telling a friend over MSN today that I seem to have become more health-conscious by the year... Eating vegetables was never my cup of tea since childhood, except for sambal kangkong and cabbage. However, because of some health problem that cropped up when I was in Sec 2, I had to so-called 'force' myself or cultivate the habit of eating green, leafy vegetables on a daily basis. It was a very difficult task for a meat-lover like me. Couldn't bring myself to swallow them. And I thought they were absolutely tasteless! But well, God created plants of the field for food, so I guess that was a season when I had to learn how to appreciate them. Thank God that I managed to overcome it in a short time, so now I have no problems eating veggies like xiao bai cai, kai lan, spinach and other types of veggies. In fact, when I buy cai fan from the kopitiam stall, there were days where I will just order 3 kinds of veggies to go with the rice. The auntie selling the rice must have mistaken me for a vegetarian ha ha... But brinjal and lady's finger are still a strict no-no for me, cos they are so squishy (don't know how to describe also). Oh, and I don't really like beansprouts, unless they go with char kway teow or popiah... hee hee...

Lunch was a rather big bowl of instant noodles. I tried the NTUC Fairprice 'Hot Mushroom' flavoured one. A very big packet. Quite nice! Also re-heated a piece of fishcake and 4 pieces of seaweed chicken.

In the afternoon, just spent time updating my Friendster blog. Had a nap in the late afternoon too.

My brother had dinner with his in-laws tonight so dinner was just me and my parents. Got canned clam chowder soup to drink... tasty! :)

Today didn't take much pics, but I took some of my Marshmallowman and my purple Lotsa-lotsa-legs caterpillar. They almost became victims of the karang guni man 2 wks ago... but phew, noticed them in time so rescued them. Will be so sad if I lose them.. cos they are non-existent on the market by now, at least in Singapore I think. Wonder if they will ever become collectors' items in future? Perhaps :)
