Last Duty
Tonight was the last hall duty for me and the rest of Section 2 ushers in B4 auditorium. The next time we usher during service will be the time we shift to Expo. But next week is the first weekend of December, probably we'll be having holy communion. If so, then Section 2 ushers will be serving communion in the auditorium.
Hmmm.... Time really flies... I still remember my first service duty was on a Sunday morning in May 2003 (had gone for 10am makeup service then because I was having exams), and Sis Audrey got promoted to be team i/c that morning too. It's been more than 2 years now... tonight I was doing stage duty again. As the hall was expected to be fully packed, I sat in the artiste room during the service. Right after service, I washed water tumblers with 2 of my other usher friends in B1 toilet. It was fun washing tumblers with them... we sang songs and chat as we washed... songs like 'London Bridge Is Falling Down', 'Shine Like Stars' and the 'Wang Wang Pao Pao Guo Dong' song. Finally, I left for home in a cab at exactly 12 midnight. I only had $5 in my wallet, so had to ask my dad to come down and wait for me to arrive and to help pay for my cab fare.
Now I've just finished eating my very late dinner (a packet of chicken rice that my mum bought for me from Tampines earlier in the evening). Also had some fishballs & chicken to go with.
My fingernails! Oh my, they are so long now! Must remind myself to cut them tomorrow, especially those on my left hand, otherwise I'm gonna have some difficulty pressing guitar chords tomorrow. Feeling very sleepy already... will go & sleep now... going to a makeup cell group tomorrow at Sis Selena's house. Hope I can also read up on some readings I zapped earlier in the day.
