Last Communion And Busing Duty

Last Friday I wrote that it was my last hall duty in audi. But as there was communion tonight, I had communion duty, followed by busing duty after service.

Talking about busing... it was extremely windy tonight at the busing area. So strong was the wind that some of the ushers had to steady the busing signboards in case they sway and land on anybody. Then, it started to drizzle when the buses arrived. I had my bag and another Seiyu paper bag with me in one hand and they were quite heavy. In my other hand was the translucent plastic bag for people to put the bus coupons into. As the rain became slightly heavier, Ivan appeared! He was running towards the bus which I was assigned to collect coupons at. After giving his coupon, he whipped out his umbrella, opened it and helped to shelter me while I stood beside the bus entrance hee... thanks a lot Ivan :)

Then, about 10 minutes later, Isabel came rushing for the bus too. By then, one of my usher friends had come over to pass me a huge umbrella. So I was sheltered from the rain with that huge umbrella while Isabel and Ivan got onto the shuttle bus. So timely! Oh, I forgot to mention, in the midst of all that, a large tree was actually uprooted by the strong wind and fell on one side with a great rustling sound... thank God no one got hurt.

Gary and Meiling flew off to Brisbane tonight for their honeymoon so they were not at service. At around 11pm or so, I got a msg from them saying they were about to fly off soon. They were very excited and also asked about the service. For one week they won't be around... so I'll definitely miss my MSN and photo-taking khaki aka Meiling. Hope you can get hold of a comp over there and update us on your trip and baby :)
