NIGHT OUT
I had expected to be home somewhere past midnight. Instead, I reached home only at 3am! Let me start from the beginning when my parents and I went to the shops downstairs ....
Both Daddy and Mummy wore purple tonight hee...Buying ginger

Mummy bought one of these squids

Also bought 5 such cartons of Mandarin oranges... they are real sweet and juicy

Then we had supper at one of the kopitiams... fried dumplings!

My brother drove specially all the way from home to come and meet us... enjoying his prata

Here are our drinks

After supper, my brother decided to drive us (except for my dad who wanted to go home and rest) to the old Ang Mo Kio neighbourhood where we used to live. Just wanted to walk around and look at more things... However, this year the neighbourhood was rather quiet as compared to previous years where the place usually bustled with activity. Thus, we decided to head for Chinatown! An impromptu decision... but we were game for it. Think this must be my first time going Chinatown on the eve of 'Chu Xi'. Anyway, I seldom step into that area too :)
Here I am at Chinatown! At one of the shops that sells music CDs and VCDs

We walked along a stretch of stalls selling items ranging from cushion covers, accessories, handbags, clothing, Lunar New Year decorations, New Year goodies, food items, tidbits to pussy willows and pomelos.
Mummy wanted to take a picture

Me too

After all that walking, my brother fetched us home. Chinatown wasn't that crowded tonight, so it actually felt quite good and relaxing to be there, plus the weather was cool and windy. Most probably the crowds will jam the area tomorrow night.
Tomorrow evening is reunion dinner! Can't wait for it to come! We'll be having steamboat at home! :):):)
