THANK GOD

Thank God that I can make it for my own cell group this week. Thank God that my place can be used as cell group venue. Thank God for His favour and for His goodness to me. :)

I got into a bit of a frenzy a few days earlier when I discovered that I was scheduled to be on duty this Saturday afternoon at my workplace for our MWS Flag Day. There were 2 slots, one in the morning 830am-230pm and another in the afternoon 130pm-530pm. The afternoon slot clashed exactly with cell group and I was like, "Oh oh, got to seek permission to change slot".

I went to my director and asked for permission. Her response was that I could go ahead to try and do an internal swap with colleagues who had been allocated to the morning slot, but that she would not make it a rule as to who will help out for which slot since the schedule has been planned out. So, I went to approach Li Ching and Laura. I got quite worried after that because there seemed to be no possibility that they could swap with me. A million thoughts flooded my mind and kept thinking, "How? Can shift cell group to later? No, others can't make it. Timing not convenient for them. Venue? If I can't make it, use whose house? Whose house can be used? Guitarist leh? aaaarrrgh!!!.... "

Went home that night and prayed, prayed, and just prayed. God, make a way for me! I want to attend my own cell group meeting! Let someone be able to swap with me! Move the hearts of the people! By faith I just prayed and claimed that God will supply all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Think I was desperate... After what seemed like hours, I felt a breakthrough in my spirit. In the natural, no one agreed to swap with me yet. But in the supernatural, I believe that God Himself has moved on my behalf and is going to make it all possible for me.

The very next day, which is Tuesday, I bumped into Amy! Amy is one of the staff from student care centre opposite us. I usually don't stay back in office but I stayed that day and that's how I managed to bump into her on my way home! She's also in the morning slot, but I never thought she could change with me because heard that she's normally on duty at the student care centre on Saturdays with the kids. But, I found out she wasn't on duty this Sat! And so she said she most probably have no problems swapping the flag day time slots with me! Oh, I was relieved, thank God for providing Amy! She said she would confirm with me again the next day, so I kept my fingers crossed.

Then yesterday, Amy still couldn't confirm yet... but I hoped, and I hoped... I didn't know then, but God also provided Laura in the end! At the end of night duty yesterday, as Laura and I stepped out through the back door, she turned to me and said, "Sabie, so you want to change with me right? I am ok to change." My heart leaped with joy and I was so very happy! Thank You Jesus! God did it for me! Whether it's Amy or Laura who could change with me in the end, one thing is for sure: my God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus! :) And He did! God is a good and faithful God. Gonna trust Him that I can make arrangements to leave duty earlier this Saturday too so that I can make it home in time for cell! :)
