I woke up late today!!! Was supposed to wake at 5.30am as I had previously mentioned, but I went back to sleep around 5.50am after being stirred from my sleep somehow. The next thing I knew, it was 7am! Yikes!!! I sprung out of bed, rushed to wash up, got changed and within 15 minutes, I was down at the foot of my block flagging a cab.

The reason why I was so panicky is that I'm on duty today and ushers are supposed to report at 730am. And my i/c informed us the night before that she hopes we can arrive at 715am instead for a farewell celebration for one of our section members. I quickly called my i/c to apologise that I won't be able to reach at 7.15am but latest by 7.30am instead. Good thing that a cab came very fast and the cabby also drove super fast, so by 7.30am I reached Expo. But still, when I went to scan in my attendance, the reported timing was 2 minutes past 7.30am. Sigh...

Even though it turned out that the farewell thingy didn't take place perhaps due to lack of time or others who also couldn't make it in time, I told myself this: Let this be the first & the last time that such a thing ever happens again.
