MY COUSIN'S WEDDING

Last Sunday, 10 December was my cousin's wedding banquet at Conrad Centennial Hotel.

The one thing that impressed me was the dinner menu, so much so that I noted down every single dish on it. Menu as follows:

1) Suckling pig with crepes, smoked duck, chicken dipped with sesame paste, deep fried dumpling and jellyfish with sesame seed

2) Braised shark's fin soup with crabmeat, roe and bamboo pith

3) Scallop coated with mashed taro combined with prawns with honey peas and home-made bean sauce

4) Steamed red garoupa with crispy garlic, preserved turnip and superior light sauce

5) Pan-fried ostrich steak with Chef's special sauce garnished with asparagus and onion

6) Braised abalone with lingzhi mushroom and Hong Kong cabbage

7) Crispy pi-pa chicken garnished with baked almond flakes

8) Stewed Ee-fu noodles with Honshimeiji mushrooms, beansprouts and home-made sauce

9) Hot cream of walnut with glutinous dumplings
