Yoshinoya Treat

Today is Isabel's birthday, and she gave me a treat at J8's Yoshinoya! :) I had the Beef with Vegetable value meal that came with miso soup while Isabel ate the salmon bowl value meal. The place was literally flooded with students who had come from their National Day celebrations in their respective schools. And people were even waiting outside the outlet for seats. But we managed to eat in peace and chat.

After our early lunch, we walked around for a little while. Everywhere we went, we saw students in red tees. And surprisingly, I bumped into quite a few friends whom I haven't met for a long, long time. One of them is Stanley. He is one of the youths from my old church, and came with me to visit CHC a few times in 2002. He's still at my old church now, and he's grown taller! He saw me and called me first and so we exchanged numbers. Next, another friend Gabriel called me as he skipped past me. Gabriel used to attend svc and cell group but not anymore now. I only had time to catch a glimpse of his face before he went off on his way with his friends. He has also grown taller. And oh, Isabel says he looks a bit like Yuhao. Then, I met my ex-Sec sch friend Xiaowei. Also one of the girls in my clique last time. She's still serving her bond in Ahmad Ibrahim Sec School. Last on the list is Alfred. He is not my personal friend but Ivan's friend and he knows Isabel too. But at least he could recognise me a bit cos he visited Friday service a few times. He's also from my old church but he was among the new batch of youths who came sometime after I left. My parents know who he is, just that he might not know I am their daughter even if he met them.

Now is the time for the 7pm drama serial on channel 8. My father prepared black sauced chicken tonight! Yummy! Gonna eat and watch TV at the same time loh! :)
