Doraemon Walk-in??!
Yesterday was my turn to be on night duty, so I ended work at 9pm. About 25 minutes to closing time, my supervisor walked up to me and said there was a walk-in who had just come to the centre, and he asked me to go attend to him. I was looking through a case file then, so I dropped whatever I was doing, got my clipboard and some paper ready, and went to the waiting room to receive the walk -in. Lo and behold, as I approached the waiting room (which had a see-through glass panel) I saw nobody inside! In fact, the lights in the room were off. I asked Lynn the admin assistant if anybody had come in and she said there was none. Puzzled, I signalled to my sup and asked him where was the walk-in? With a wide smile on his face he told me there is and told me to look more clearly for certainly, "someone" was there. By then, I smelt something fishy but just didn't know what that was. So I stood outside the waiting room, peered inside, and guess who I saw? Doraemon! My sup played a prank on me!! Haha... but out of pure fun...
What happened was that he had taken the small Doraemon piggy bank that belonged to Aunt Grace while I wasn't noticing, and placed it on the sofa in the waiting room. He had wanted to use my Doraemon actually but Ding Dang was always at my workstation facing me directly so no chance to 'steal' him away secretly... oh ya, in case some of you may not know, I bring Ding Dang to work on Mondays and leave him there overnight. Then I bring him home on Fridays so that he can be with me over the weekend hee hee... Anyway, the rest of my colleagues and I had a good laugh over this incident. What a way to end off our Wednesday night duty :)
