My First Time At Singapore Expo
Today was my very first time at Singapore Expo. Ushers gathered at Hall 8 this evening for a briefing and also to lay chairs. Reporting time was 7pm and I was glad that I could be there on time because I initially thought I wouldn't make it as I knock off at 6pm. However, I want to thank God for divine favour... God helped me to be able to claim 1-hour time-off from work today... meaning I could leave my workplace by 5pm :) I was praying that I would be allowed to do so because actually, this 1-hour time-off had already so-called 'expired'. But my sup had no problems with that and even told me to go off at 4.50pm. Praise the Lord for that. So I left my workplace and began my journey to the East...
As it was my first time alighting at Expo MRT station, I had no idea how it would be like, and had no idea where on earth Hall 8 was. As I looked around for signs and directions, to my relief I saw signs pointing in the direction of Hall 8. But I haven't had my dinner, so I walked around looking for the food court. After what seemed like hours, I finally found the SCS food court. I saw Orange Julius and BK too and bought a BK Mushroom Swiss Double meal in the end. Then I walked back towards Halls 7-9 and ate my meal at one of the benches.
Another thing I want to thank God for is that I can make it for the Wednesday night prayer meeting this week! This Wed night is actually my turn to be on night duty. Then yesterday, I was praying for divine favour and success again in changing my night duty to next Wed. I was actually worried that it might be not be possible and prayed again today before approaching my sup about it. I brought up the change in night duty to him at the same time when I asked him for my time-off. And he also had no problems with that. God opened the way for me! :) God is good!
I left Expo at 10pm and was back home by 11.15pm. Below are some pics I took tonight... just a glimpse of how the hall looks like... but you've got to be there yourself to see it with your own eyes! :)
Me in Expo Hall 8... the sisters busy cleaning the chairs after the brothers had painstakingly laid those chairs... the black backdrop in the background of the 2nd photo is where the stage is

Area on the left of stage... the hall is not that small... still got several other rows of chairs behind from where I am standing

Break-time for the ushers
