Shopping Day!
Time now is 3.58am. I am supposed to be in dreamland and wake up at 5.30am as ushers' reporting time at Expo is 7.30am. Somehow, however, I woke up from my sleep at 2.40am and discovered I had a missed call and sms. Not only that, I realised I still had a few things to do before I set off for church. For the first time in ages, I had actually slept early on a Saturday night (which is very rare)... around 9plus I think. Actually I had planned to sleep by 11, but didn't manage to endure until 11. So in the wee hours of the night, I immediately went to settle those few things.
And I thank God that I did wake up, and I believe that God caused me to wake up, because those few things were so, so important. One of those things I did was iron my shirt. That's very important because I would be wearing that later and I don't think I would have the time to do ironing then. Another thing I did was to sew a button back on the shirt because it came loose when I was trying on the shirt just now. Managed to find a roll of white thread and needles and started sewing... within 10 minutes or so it was done.
Now I'm starting to get tired. 1 hour 10min more to catch some sleep....
But before I go, just wanna blog briefly about what I did for Saturday (yesterday). As stated in my title, it's shopping day! I started off the day by going to Expo for support duty in the morning. Before I left the house, my mother prepared a fried egg and fried potato slices for my breakfast. I also brought along a ham and cheese sandwich for Part 2 of breakfast, but ate it for lunch instead. After duty, I went to Orchard by myself to do my Christmas shopping!
It felt kind of strange to do shopping on a Saturday afternoon because there is cell group usually on Saturday afternoons. But I felt happy at the same time because I could go out and look around. I didn't mind doing shopping alone. In fact, I liked it. There are times I do it with friends and I enjoy their company, but I also like times when I can be by myself. And I think I really spent a considerable amount of time at each outlet/mall I stepped into yesterday.
Mainly, I was in Wisma and Taka for 3 and a half hours. I didn't venture into other areas because I managed to get the things I needed from these 2 places. Within the first half an hour in Wisma, I bought myself a new shirt. Very satisfied. :) From Wisma, I walked on ahead to Taka... being a weekend, the place was super crowded. People and more people everywhere... I bumped into my aunt and cousin at Taka and they were there to shop too. After making my purchases, I was hungry, so I got myself a box of Octopus Tako Pachi. After that, I went back to Wisma and bought some more things there before heading back to Junction 8. Then at Junction 8, I bought another item and finally went home, happy and contented.
Now that I've finished blogging, I shall go catch some sleep. Zzzzz....
