OPEN THE DOORS!!
Today I took the North-South Line MRT train bound for City Hall. When the train arrived at Dhoby Ghaut station, I was all prepared to alight because I needed to transfer to North-East Line. But, the train doors didn't open at all! For about 1 minute more or so, those who wanted to alight just waited and waited and waited! I thought perhaps the doors were stuck or what and that they would soon open. Instead, to my horror, or surprise I would say, the train just moved off! Think the passengers including myself were bewildered. Let me out! I need to take the NEL! Open the doors! But no use, the train arrived at City Hall pretty soon.
Then again, the doors were shut. One passenger remarked, "The doors better open"... and thank God, next moment they did and I got off quickly. Had to do a U-turn and take a train back to Dhoby Ghaut before getting to the NEL. I thought I might be late cos I needed to reach my destination at 7pm. Praise the Lord, I wasn't late and reached just nice by 7.
On 2nd thought, can't really blame the train driver, cos the trains run according to schedule and they can't possibly move backwards or afford to stay put at a certain station for long because that would jam up the upcoming trains. But I'm just glad I'm punctual after all! :)
