EVENTFUL YESTERDAY
Lucy had a fall yesterday on our way back to office after buying lunch. Choi Foong and I were walking with her through a car park when she suddenly slipped and fell and landed on the left side of her body. It happened so fast that we were all in a state of shock for a brief moment. We were very worried because Lucy didn’t respond nor move when we called out to her. When we helped her up, she was in a daze and didn’t realise what had happened to her. Skin was peeling from her left hand and she had a big bump on the left of her forehead. It was only after Choi Foong quickly regained her composure and got her to sit down that she realised she had had a serious fall.
We helped her back to office to clean up because oil spills had dirtied her clothing and part of her face. Then Choi Foong brought her to the doctor across our centre. About half an hour later, we received a call that Lucy needed to go to the polyclinic for an x-ray so Fiona went with her by cab. Thank God that the report came back showing no signs of internal injuries nor broken bones. Lucy came back with her hand bandaged to pack up and go home. The swelling on her head had also subsided, thank God again.
Lucy will be coming for service this Sunday with one of her friends who is also a City Harvester. And it will be her first time at Expo service. She told me she’s looking for a church to settle down in and I was thinking, wah, if she stays on, then office will have 2 City Harvesters liao! :) Pray that she will recover fast and not have to miss service this week! :)
