PROGRAMME_FUL DAYS AHEAD

November and December are approaching, leaving me with my hands full of programmes to run for Strength Works. The other core programmes of my Centre, Family Works and My Home are similarly running a series of talks, workshops and groupwork programmes over the next 2 months. Just today, we saw the calendar of events from Nov 06 right up to March 07, and that was enough to make us start gasping for breath.

Not that we aren't aware of what is ahead, but some of us will also be roped in to help out with other programmes, so everything is very crammed together. For myself and Lucy especially, we are slated to run 4 types of programmes:
1) Strength Talks - for parents of low-income families
2) Strength Kidz - children's self-esteem development group
3) Sunflower Blossoms - personal development group for women
4) WOW! Holiday programme for primary school children

One is in progression, while Lucy and me are still working on publicity, liaising, recruitment for the others. Today, I had meeting with Lucy to discuss about WOW! and that took up half a morning and the entire afternoon. By the end of it, my eyes were almost seeing stars.

But we had a very sumptuous tea break this afternoon. Guess what we had?? Roasted duck! Choi Foong bought it specially for us. A very different type of tea break indeed of a different class, hee... I had 4 pieces of the duck, very delicious! Guess we all need some form of motivation to keep us on our feet. Food does! To a certain extent la.

5pm loh, knock off already. But I'll still be staying around a while. Going for make-up cell again tonight cos my boss arranged for all of us to attend a team-building session 9am-5pm tomorrow on Deepavali. We get to take another day off in lieu of us sacrificing our public holiday for work-related purposes.
