Pasta Mania Day
Twice, I was at Pasta Mania in Junction 8 today.
In the morning, I met up with another one of my ex-JC classmates, Yina. She was one of the girls in my clique during the 2 years of our JC life. She is currently a piano teacher at Symphony Music School in Causeway Point. Anyone wants to go to her for piano lessons? :) If anyone wants to buy a piano, she can help fetch a good price for it too :) Anyway, we went window shopping before having lunch at Pasta Mania. I had Alfredo pasta (penne) with creamy sauce as well as the Combo Set B of soup and garlic bread. Yina also had Alfredo pasta (linguine) but took the Combo Set A of a soft drink, soup and garlic bread. Don't know if it was because the sauce was a bit too salty or bitter today, or whether it's because we consumed too much of the sauce, both of us couldn't finish our pasta. Halfway through the meal we were already struggling... so full! I didn't even finish eating my garlic bread. So ke xi... In the end, I just ate up the remaining ham slices, chicken slices and peas. Maybe I should try a different pasta next time... maybe the ones with spicy tomato herb sauce.
We continued walking around J8 to pass time. Then, before Yina had to leave for work, we took pictures together! :) Really enjoyed the time spent with her today. And after that, I walked home from J8 to save bus money :) Actually I found it quite good to walk too... it just takes about 10 minutes or more.
In the evening, when I had just switched on the TV to watch the 7pm drama serial on Channel 8, I got a call from Isabel! She had just finished teaching, and wanted to go to J8 Popular to buy some stuff and have her dinner there. She called to ask if I could accompany her. At that time, my dad had just finished preparing dinner. So I ate dinner at home first, then went to find Isabel at J8. And lo and behold, Isabel said she wanted to eat at Pasta Mania! Ok, so there we went, my 2nd time in there... don't know if the staff there recognise me or not... So I just sat there and watched Isabel eat her Chicken Sausage pasta (penne) with Combo Set B, but of course we were chatting all the way too. After that, we went to a very private corner of the outlet and took pictures together. :) And again, I walked home.
Tomorrow afternoon is my interview with Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, as I had mentioned sometime ago in my blog last week. I found out that the venue is actually at Tanjong Pagar Family Service Centre, which comes under the umbrella of the Society, though I had applied for their other FSC in Paya Lebar. I pray that it will go smoothly tomorrow, trusting God for His wisdom and favour. :)
