Shopping And More Shopping!
After work today (which was actually yesterday at the time I am writing this entry), I went to do more shopping! Didn't take very long, because I wanted to go home faster and get some rest. My stomach was already growling before I left my workplace, so it was pretty obvious the laksa wasn't filling enough. So, before I began to look around for stuff, I bought a stick of sotong squid head and a stick of sotong wing from Old Chang Kee to munch on. Deep fried, oily, bad for health if one has too much of it... but I simply have cravings for them haha...
After finishing my snack, I began my search... within an hour, I managed to get them, praise the Lord! :) So glad that I could make my way home after that. Upon reaching home, my parents had already started on their dinner, so I joined in straightaway. After my dinner and a shower, I felt much more awake. A strong and cold wind was blowing into my house as I sat down on the floor and flipped through the Straits Times while drinking a bottle of orange lemonade. Never felt so relaxed before!
Over here, just to mention... Today in office, Kumar (who is actually my sup for those who don't know) threw a paper ball at me! It didn't hit me but it fell just behind my chair. He was just playing, was just trying to test my reaction to see what I would do with the paper ball. I picked it up and wondered, hmmm, should I throw it back at him? In the end, I dropped it into the wastepaper basket beside me. He smiled and said if it were others in the office whom he had thrown the ball at, 99% of the time they would 'retaliate' and throw it back at him. To demonstrate, he threw another paper ball, this time aiming at Hazel while she was unaware. It hit Li Ching instead and she got a shock, thinking it was a lizard that dropped down on her. True enough, Li Ching hurled the ball back at Kumar and the rest of us just had a good laugh over it. :)
Now back to the point when I was mentioning about reading the papers and drinking lemonade....At about 9pm, I went up to my room. As I was lying on my bed, I fell asleep. Woke up at midnight and realised it wasn't yet 5 or 6am in the morning. In my semi-conscious state I had thought that I should get up and start getting ready for work. Think I'm becoming too much of a workaholic... but I got up anyway, and had my quiet time.
Tomorrow evening I'll be going to Orchard again! Tis the season to be jolly fa la la la la la la la la.....:)
