VISIT TO HAY DAIRIES
Me, Lucy and 4 student volunteers brought 31 kids to visit a goat farm last Thursday. $3 per head. And the goats are super friendly! One even tugged at the hem of my t-shirt, haha... but the smell of the farm was quite unbearable for 1 or 2 of the kids that they started feeling sick upon arrival.

Every visitor is entitled to one bottle of goat milk & a souvenir! Got either chocolate or pure, natural flavour! The person-in-charge showed us how they milk the goats and explained to us the benefits of goat milk over cow milk. Apparently, goat milk is more easily digestible and highly nutritious & contains less sodium but more potassium than cow milk. Unfortunately, I couldn't manage to finish my bottle of milk. Tasted slightly sourish... guess it's an acquired taste, hee...

Back at the centre's holding area (next to our main office), 3 of the volunteers try to engage the kids and keep them occupied while their parents come to fetch them home. From left: Kavitha, Adeline, Huihui

And here is Weilin

More than three quarters of the kids had left... and so the remaining bunch of us decided to take a group photo...

The children are quite cheeky yet cute!

That's Lucy on the extreme left

Our last photo, hee... oh you may have noticed, our t-shirts have the 'WOW' logo specially printed on them. WOW is the name of our Children's Holiday Programme for kids from low-income families, part of 'StrengthWorks!' :)
